Grace Wolf comments : What a wonderful tribute to Mr Ray and his body of work. I too must concur with Dr Andrade, that Mr Ray has brought forth many issues that over the years have been "back-shelved"in our minds and are now being brought forth thru the eye to the fore-front of our thoughts. Many thanks to Mr Ray, and wishes for continued work.
Dr. Paxton Foster comments : Hillol: I have thought of you often and if you were still "emitting" your wonderful poetry--as for me, I have had multiple illness (strokes) and other physical problems that have significantly affected my daily living and especially my memory--but every once in a while you surfaced and I wondered how you were--I am so happy to read that you are moving on and accomplishing still even greater "words that give image, texture and spirit"--I truely admire you as a great poet who structures his thoughts about the dilemma of our human environmental relationships and more.
Best of luck to you for further creative efforts to improve the lives of global mankind.
Have a great day !!!

A couple of weeks ago, I introduced to you Mr. Hillol Ray, a friend and co-worker of mine here at EPA. I told you that I had come to respect the man for his work as a poet, and I actually forwarded to you a couple of his poems for you to read and enjoy. Actually I did not realize how much this man has touched the world with his poetry until this morning (April 2, 2002) when I read a glowing tribute written about him by another well known author and poet from Ecuador. After reading the tribute, I now really respect the man even more. I hope you too will enjoy reading the tribute ("Hillol Ray - A Poet of Neuroscience" by Dr. Pompeyo Carlos Andrade).
What amazes me is that the man is so simple and nice...You would never know that he is a world celebrity just by looking at him. I am so glad to know this gentleman on a personal level. I wish him the best in the field of poetry and continued success in his efforts to reinforce the issues through his poems concerning the humanity.

Kalyan K. Niyogi Ph.D. comments : Hillol, I am extremely delighted to see that your poems have touched so many people living at every corner of the world. I am specially moved by the tribute from Dr. Andrade. I totally agree with him.
When you were a little boy you used to compose stories and poems. They addressed mostly emotions too matured for your age. I didn't know that they were the reflections of your sensitivity to the injustice that your young mind did not escape to notice.
Wish you good luck and hope you will present many more poems to the world.
Elizabeth Dandy comments : Congratulations,Hillol. It's wonderful .. you get the credit you deserve. Best regards Elizabeth
Megan Jones comments : Hello Hillol: ...or should I call you the "Poet of Human Rights (HR)"??:-))))A well-deserved title, from what I've read so far. Thanks for your continued sharing with the world, which after all, is what it's all about. By sharing, we can bring Justice, and therefore, Peace on Earth .....
Hopefully we'll see some positive global developments as well..we could certainly do with some!
